Who you're actually dealing with
Hi, I'm Stuart. I run S7 Labs.
My early career began in agriculture, driving tractors and caring for livestock on local family farms in East Anglia. I then moved into Research & Development, where I managed agricultural trials across the UK, collecting and analysing scientific data.
From there, I moved into Product Management & Software Development, where I built fully automated systems that collect, process and report huge amounts of data.
Now I do that for my own clients across the UK. Whether that's a basic website to market a small business or a complex system that the whole organisation runs on. I also build and run my own software, so I've had to make the same decisions I'll be asking you to make.
You deal with me from the first conversation to long after it goes live, so what I build fits your budget and keeps working after launch. If I can see a better way of doing something, you'll hear it before it's built.
What happens, and when
Every project runs roughly like this. You see the plan and the price before anything is built, and you aren't left on your own once it's live.

First conversation
Tell me about your business and the problem you want to solve. Nothing to pay and nothing to sign, and if I’m not the right person for the job I’ll say so.

Discovery and planning
I work out what the job really involves. The systems you already have, what sits in them, and what has to be true for any of it to work.

Review and sign-off
We go through the plan and scope together. I’ll be clear about what is and isn’t covered. Nothing gets built until you’re happy.

Build
The part where it gets made. Regular progress updates, so anything drifting off course gets caught early.

Testing
It gets tested properly before it goes anywhere near your customers, and you get time to use it yourself and tell me what’s wrong before we call it finished.

Aftercare
Software doesn’t stop needing attention the day it launches. Anything broken in the first month is fixed free, and after that I’m available by the day or on a monthly retainer.
